Gameweek 18 in La Liga will see Mallorca face off against Osasuna on Thursday evening. The hosts are currently in 15th place in the league standings, while the visitors are 12th. Mallorca have taken a step backward from the ninth-placed finish they managed last season. They have taken just 15 points from the first 17 games this season, leaving them just two points above the dotted line. The major issue for the hosts this season has been their inability to turn one point into three. They have drawn more than half their league games this season, including three of their last four. The most recent was a stalemate away to Almeria over the weekend. Mallorca have been difficult to beat at home this season. They have lost just one of their eight league games, with the remaining matches ending in six draws and a win. The last match between these sides also ended level (0-0), but the bookmakers have the hosts down as the favourites in this one. 

Meanwhile, Osasuna have also seen a slight drop off this year after finishing last term in the Conference League qualification spot. They have recorded 19 points in 17 games so far and are already 11 points behind the European qualification places. Los Rojillos head into this match following a 1-0 win against Rayo Vallecano, which extended their recent unbeaten run to three matches (W1 D2 L0). However, Osasuna have been struggling on the road of late. Their last away match ended in a 1-1 draw to Cadiz and followed three consecutive losses to Real Madrid, Real Betis and Villareal. During those three losses, the visitors conceded two or more goals in each game. While Osasuna are the outsiders in this one, they are unbeaten in their last three visits to Estadi Mallorca Son Moix and cannot be ruled out of this contest just yet.
