Mallorca vs Barcelona Prediction & Betting Tips - LaLiga
by Daniel Ngulu | in LaLiga Predictions
Eight points stand between Mallorca and Barcelona in the La Liga table, and ahead of the two sides’ faceoff in Mallorca on Sunday. Barcelona are so far on 28 points, in seventh place and Mallorca have managed 20 points, in 15th place. The hosts are coming from a 4-1 beating away to Granada. It was their first loss in five matches, though they have two Copa Del Rey matches in that run. It isn’t much better in La Liga; in the last 10 league games, Mallorca have managed just one win. They’ve lost three of their last 10 league games, and six have ended in draws. Only twice in the last 10 league matches have they managed to keep clean sheets. At home, in La Liga action, they have no loss in the last five matches but the last four have all ended in draws, with the team keeping three clean sheets in five.
Barcelona haven’t had a comfortable run this season, they are already out of the Champions League, have had a change in management and are 18 points behind league leaders Real Madrid. It is unlikely that they will challenge for the league title this season. They have made two key signings going into the new year with the arrival of Dani Alves and Ferran Torres. Xavi Hernandez will be keen on involving the two in the team as soon as possible, as he eyes a turnaround in 2022. Apart from injuries, Barcelona’s biggest headache this season has been a poor away run. In the league this season, they have one win in eight away league games. They also have one clean sheet in the eight away league matches and have failed to score completely in three of the eight away matches in the league.

Our Mallorca vs Barcelona Prediction
Barcelona aren’t having a great season and this will give Mallorca confidence. They have two wins in the last five matches and only one was comfortable. Barcelona’s away form isn’t very encouraging this season, with just a win in eight in the league. Mallorca have also not done well at home but will be keen to pile on Barcelona’s away day miseries. With the two sides’ home and away performances, a draw looks likely here.
