Lyon vs Nice Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

Two successive wins in Ligue 1 have taken Lyon to 13th place in the table. They host Nice on Friday and the visitors are second in the league but 11 points behind PSG. Lyon are still in relegation trouble with only a three point gap between them and the drop zone. Most of this season has seen them in the relegation places but they have improved in recent weeks. League wins have come against Marseille and Montpellier plus a French Cup victory over Lille. Five of their last seven games in Ligue 1 have been won as Lyon recover from a terrible start to the season. Home form has produced three league wins and they have all come in their last four matches. Under 2.5 goals have been scored in four of their last six home league fixtures.

Nice are second in the table but with little chance of catching leaders PSG. Their main aim has to be to ensure they qualify for the Champions League. At present they are four points above fifth place so there's still plenty of work to do. Nice have seen their faint title hopes fade in recent weeks with only one point from their last two games in Ligue 1. Their most recent fixture saw them lose 3-2 at home to Monaco after twice pulling level. On the road, Nice have won four of their ten league games with three losses. Only eight goals have been scored in those ten games but only nine conceded. We go for under 2.5 goals to be scored in this match.
