Nantes will travel to the Groupama Stadium to take on tenth placed Olympique Lyonnais in Ligue 1 on Friday. The visitors are currently in 14th place in the league, with 29 points in 27 matches, six points clear of relegation. Nantes played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in their last match against Nice, though that draw marked their fourth successive match without a win, losing the previous three. Their form on the road won’t give them much confidence either, with a record of two wins, five draws, and seven losses in 14 away matches this season. Nantes' defense has been their major downfall in recent weeks, conceding 14 goals in their last six matches, which included three matches where they conceded three or more goals. All indicators suggest that this is going to be a tough one for the visitors to take anything from. 

Lyon also played out a draw in their last match, which ended 3-3 away to Lille last weekend. Unlike their opponents, though, that draw marked Lyon’s fourth consecutive match without defeat, winning two and drawing two. Lyon is currently in 10th place in a compact top half and will feel that they can still make a late surge for a place in European competiton next season. They are currently seven points behind the final Europa Conference League position. At home this season, Lyon has a record of six wins, five draws, and three losses and comes into this one unbeaten in their last three at the Groupama Stadium. This is a dress rehearsal for their upcoming French Cup semi-final. Lyon is also unbeaten in their last five matches against this opponent and will fancy themselves to notch up another three points in this one.
