Lyon reached the last sixteen of the Champions League last season but have a battle on their hands to get out of this group. With this final game to go, Lyon are third on seven points, behind Zenit St Petersburg, also on seven and group leaders Leipzig on ten. Lyon won 2-0 in Germany so a win in this game will take them into the knock-out stages. They have four points from their two home group matches drawing with Zenit and beating Benfica 3-1.  The Ligue 1 side are unbeaten in their last seven home games in this competition but six of those have been drawn. Five of those have been score draws.

Leipzig have already qualified for the last sixteen but might not finish top. To do that they have to avoid defeat in this match, Zenit can't finish above them but Lyon can because of that 2-0 win in Germany. Leipzig have won three of their five games and on their travels have won away in Benfica and Zenit. Three of their five group matches have seen both teams score. Leipzig have second in the Bundesliga and unbeaten in their last eight matches. 30 goals have been scored in those matches but both teams have scored in six of them and seven of the last nine away matches. Go for both teams to score in what should be an entertaining match.
