Lyon are third in Ligue 1 and will be confident of beating Caen to reach the semi-finals of the French Cup. They have had some decent draws in this year's competition and this is their third game against sides that are in the bottom six of Ligue 1. Lyon have won away at Amiens and Guingamp and now host Caen who are in the relegation zone. They have only lost two of their last 11 league and cup games and one loss in the last six at home. That includes holding the mighty Barcelona to a goalless draw last week in the Champions League. They suffered a blow on Sunday night though losing away at resurgent Monaco. 

Caen are in relegation trouble and over 90 minutes have gone six games without a victory. They nearly won at Toulouse at the weekend but conceded a 91st minute equalizer. To reach this stage of the French Cup, Caen have had three wins from lower leagues and needed a penalty shoot-out to win away at Bastia  Away form has been a problem all season with just one league win on the road. Lyon can get the home win in this match.
