Luxembourg entertains Turkey at the Stade de Luxembourg for this United Nations League C match. The home team have started the tournament in great fashion with two wins but will face their sternest test yet when they come up against Turkey. Luxembourg have beaten the Faroe Islands and Lithuania and most impressively they have kept clean sheets in both matches. Prior to these two wins they had lost five of their six matches. Luxembourg had a decent World Cup qualifying campaign where they finished in equal third position with Ireland and managed three wins in their eight matches. They overall recent record is not great as they have only won three of their last ten matches across all competitions. Luxembourg will be most concerned with their home form that has seen them lose their last three matches and have only won once in their last nine home games.

Turkey will be frustrated that they have been demoted to League C and but showed their class by winning their opening two matches with an aggregate of 10-0. They are the clear favourites in this group while a victory in this match will see them open up a three point lead over Luxembourg. Turkey were excellent in their World Cup qualifying campaign and finished just two points behind group winners the Netherlands. They were eventually knocked out by Portugal in the semi-final playoffs. Turkey have only lost twice in their last eight matches across all competitions with their away form being very impressive having won three of their last four matches.
