Luton Town will be seeking their first Premier League win of the season when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday. The newly promoted side is at the bottom of the league standings, four places below Wolverhampton Wanderers. Luton Town are the only ones yet to register a point in the league this season. In their last outing, Rob Edwards lost a second straight game in falling 1-0 away to Fulham. The Hatters have so far failed to add on to their win over Gillingham in the League Cup. Straight defeats in the league is really concerning for the home fans just months after celebrating a return to the topflight. Their woes are also in attack, Luton being one of the lowest scorers, with just two goals. Having conceded two or more in their opening four matches, the loss to Fulham marked some improvement. In their five matches this season, both sides scored in three. Four of their five matches have over 2.5 goals, Luton failing to score just twice in the five matches.

Wolves are also struggling at these early stages of the season. However, they are faring much better than Luton, having already won a league game. Their 1-0 win over Everton in the league puts them three points ahead of Luton. That was followed with a 5-0 win over Blackpool in the League Cup but they failed to build on them. Wolves have suffered back-to-back losses to Crystal Palace and Liverpool ahead of this game. Against Liverpool, they led at half time but couldn’t hold on, capitulating in the second half to lose 3-1. This will be their second straight away game and will want to avoid a third loss in four away games. Three of their last five matches have seen both teams score, Wolves keeping two clean sheets in six matches. In their last five games, both teams scored in three and four of five had over 2.5 goals.
