Luton Town will host Newcastle United on Saturday for round 18 of the Premier League. The two teams arrive for this match in opposite halves of the table with Newcastle sixth and Luton 18th. Luton Town will be seeking only their third win of the campaign here. A win will not see them climb out of the relegation zone but could see them move to within two points of safety. Rob Edwards’ men have in recent matches at home troubled teams. Four of their nine points have come in their last four matches at Kenilworth Road making the arena a not-too-pleasant place to visit. The Hatters have lost their last three games and were defeated 2-1 at home by Manchester City last time out.

Newcastle United are also coming into this match struggling for form. Eddie Howe’s men have won only once in their last five games with the other four matches ending in defeat. They were dumped out of the League Cup in the quarterfinals stage by Chelsea on post-match penalties in midweek. The defeat extended their current run without an away victory to six matches. Newcastle have lost five of their last six away games. Two of those defeats have come against teams that have started the day in the relegation zone. This could therefore be another tough outing for the Magpies. Their recent struggles have seen them drop four points from the European places.
