Luton Town may be 13th in the Championship but are only four points behind the promotion places. They host Millwall who are seventh in the table but only two points ahead of their opponents. Luton have been higher in the table this season but come into this game having earned only two points from their last three league matches. When the season resumed last weekend they took an early lead at Middlesbrough. However, they returned home empty-handed losing 2-1 with the winner scored in the 91st minute. Their previous league game saw them being the late scorers as they rescued a 1-1 home draw with Rotherham United. Only one of their last seven league games has been won. At home, Luton have simply been drawing far too many games, Seven out of 11 home fixtures have ended level with just two wins and a couple of defeats. Four of the last five have been drawn and they are unbeaten in their last seven.

Millwall are one place behind the promotion play-off positions. However, they are struggling for form with only one win in their last seven league fixtures. They have played two games since the Championship season resumed and only earned one point. Millwall lost 3-0 at Sunderland and then could only draw 1-1 at home to relegation-threatened Wigan Athletic. They had to come from behind to get that point against Wigan. Away form is what may cost Millwall the chance to get into the top six. They have only nine points from 11 away league games and only Huddersfield have earned less than that. It’s a long term problem with just two of their last 17 away Championship matches being won. Their last four away games have only seen them gain four points.
