Luton Town welcome Aston Villa to Kenilworth Road on Saturday evening in the 5.30pm kick off, with the Hatters seeking to get back to winning ways after a 6-2 mauling at the hands of Manchester City in the FA Cup 5th Round in midweek. It was the fourth loss in a row for Rob Edwards' team following defeats to Sheffield United, Manchester United and Liverpool in the Premier League prior to that FA Cup defeat. Hatters games have certainly seen goals in the past few weeks with their last eight games all seeing over 2.5 goals, while five of the last six games have seen over 3.5 goals scored. Defensively, Luton look vulnerable conceding 19 goals in their last five games, scoring 9. With Everton's point deduction being reduced from -10 to -6, it means the Hatters are now four points behind Nottingham Forest and safety, which puts added pressure on them in this game against the Villains.

Three wins in their last four games have seen Aston Villa reclaim fourth spot in the Premier League table ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, but Villa are now six points adrift of Arsenal in third. They have 52 points from their 26 games and have netted 14 goals in their past four Premier League games, conceding five. Their strong home record did take a beating in recent weeks with defeats to Newcastle and Manchester United, but their 4-2 win over Nottingham Forest last weekend, thanks to goals from Ollie Watkins, Douglas Luiz with two and Leon Bailey, saw them get back to winning ways in front of their home support. Away from home, their record is more modest with 21 points taken from 39 available, but they have only lost one of their last five on the road, and have won three of those games, including both the last two (at Fulham and Sheffield United).
