LAFC host Seattle in what should be a monumental clash for the Western Conference of the MLS. The team from LA are in impressive form of late, being top of the table and having won five of their last six, scoring at least two goals in all of these wins. They will also be glad to see star signing Gareth Bale adapt quickly to life in the USA, firing his first goal in what was only his second appearance against Kansas. LAFC are also in impressive form at the Banc of California stadium, winning four on the bounce and losing just once in their last fourteen games there. They are almost guaranteed to score a goal, managing to do so in their last fourteen hours games. With regards to their recent tradition against the Sounders, they should draw encouragement from the fact that they have won four and lost just once in the six home meetings against them since they joined the MLS as an expansion club. 

Seattle are not having their best of seasons. While they managed to beat Colorado last time out, it was preceded by three consecutive losses in which they didn’t manage to score a single goal. Consequently, they are ninth in the standings yet within a touching one point distance from the last playoff spot. Their weak point this year is certainly their away form, where they have managed to lose four of their last six, failing to score in all of those defeats. In fact, it is now six away games on the spin for the Sounders where at least one clean sheet was observed. It is also telling that they have the second worst goals tally on the road, scoring just nine times in their ten league outings, and they should have issues breaking down a solid LAFC side.
