Lorient host Nice at the Stade du Moustoir, in a game between two of the in-form teams right now in the League. Lorient have taken Ligue 1 by storm this season. Their six wins and two draws in their last eight games have propelled them to an impressive third place position ahead of this one, while they have managed to score twenty-three goals in their twelve league games so far in the campaign. On an interesting note, Lorient have conceded sixteen goals in the season, one less than rivals Nice who are yet fourteen points behind them. The hosts have also left little room for doubt at the Moustoir, where they have won four of their five, while they are unbeaten in their home encounters against Nice in eight of their last nine meetings. 

With regards to Nice, they might have started the season in torrid shape, yet Lucien Favre, once a bookie’s favourite for departure from the Côte d’Azur club, has managed to turn things around. Nice have lost just one of their last six games, are top of their Conference League group and in twelfth place in the standings. Nice have also been effective on the road in recent encounters, winning three and drawing two of their last six away games, with only a narrow defeat at the Park des Princes blemishing that run.
