Lokomotiv Moscow vs Zenit St Petersburg Prediction & Betting Tips - Russian Premier League

Two games to go in the Russian Premier League and unlike a lot of European leagues, there's still everything to play for. Lokomotiv Moscow lead Spartak Moscow by four points and a win here will give them the title. Their final two games are at home to fourth placed Zenit St Petersburg and away to Arsenal Tula who are sixth, while Spartak play the sides 11th and 12th in the table. Lokomotiv aren't in the best of form at present as they bid to win the Russian Premier League for the first time since 2004. They have two draws and a defeat in their last three games and failed to score in any of those matches. It could be championship nerves and they do have a good home record with only two league losses this season. Goals are usually in short supply with only 14 scored at home and just six conceded with five straight clean sheets and seven in the last eight. 

Zenit are seven points adrift so won't be winning the title and are already assured of a place in the Europa League next season. However, with two games to go they are only two points behind CSKA Moscow and a place in the Champions League qualifying rounds and three off second place and qualification for the group stages. Lots to play for here then and their final game is at home to the side bottom of the table. If they do miss out on the Champions League they will look at the fact they have drawn 11 league games this season, a total only beaten by Ural on 13. Of 14 away league games they have drawn eight with only one defeat. including six of the last eight away games. This should be a tense game with so much at stake and considering the home side's poor form and the away team drawing so many games, the bet here is for a draw in this match that will lead to an exciting final day of the season.
