Liverpool vs Wolves Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Steve Ashfield | in Premier League Predictions
After the heroics of midweek, Liverpool know that winning the Premier League title isn't in their own hands. A win for Manchester City at Brighton and Hove Albion will give Pep Guardiola's men the title for the second year in a row. All Liverpool can do is put themselves in the position where they can win the title by beating Wolverhampton Wanderers at home. Liverpool have won their last eight games in the Premier League but still find themselves behind Manchester City. They have won 13 of the last 14 league games played at Anfield but that draw with Leicester may cost them the title. Only earning one point in two games against Manchester City is the main reason they are second despite amassing 94 points. Their unbeaten home league run will reach the 40 mark if they avoid defeat in this game.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have no reason to be afraid of Liverpool having already beaten them in the FA Cup. They are seventh in the table and whereas Liverpool don't want Manchester City to win this weekend, that's just what Wolves want next weekend. An FA Cup triumph for City over Watford will take Wolves into the Europa League next season. Wolves have won their last three league matches but had gone five away league games without a win before the recent 2-1 defeat of Watford. Liverpool can get the win in this game and be ahead at both half and full time but the fear this writer has is that it won't be enough to win the title.

Our Liverpool vs Wolves Prediction
Liverpool can only do their best to win this match and hope Brighton and Hove Albion somehow stop Manchester City winning. The Reds are yet to lose at home this season and have won 13 of their last 14 league games played at Anfield. They are in awesome form at present and if they can beat Barcelona 4-0, surely a win over Wolves is possible. Liverpool can get the win and lead at both half and full time but will it be enough to crown them Premier League champions? Probably not.
