Liverpool vs Watford Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Liverpool have progressed into the last eight of the Champions League but they still face a battle to be in the competition next season. Last weekend saw them lose 2-1 at Old Trafford, a big blow in their battle to finish second behind Manchester City. The result took them down to fourth in the table and four points clear of Chelsea in fifth. A win over Watford will take them above Spurs into third but dropping more points would put their hopes of a top four finish in jeopardy especially as their penultimate league fixture is away at Chelsea. Liverpool have only scored one goal in their last two games and that was scored by a Manchester United defender. This home game against Watford represents a great chance for them to get back in winning ways and scoring again. The reverse fixture saw the two sides draw 3-3 at Vicarage Road and four of the last six games between these two sides have had over 2.5 goals scored in them.

Watford are tenth in the Premier League and nine points clear of the bottom three so nearly safe. That being said, the fact is they are not a good team pn their travels and last week they lost 3-0 at Arsenal. That's just one point from their last eight away league matches and just two goals scored and none since January with not a goal scored in their last five away league and cup games. Hardly the kind of stats you need before a trip to Liverpool but their home form will keep them in the Premier League. Go for over 2.5 goals to be scored in this game.
