Liverpool's welcomes Watford to Anfield for this Premiership encounter. The home team are in second place with 69 points while the visitors are in 18th position with 22 points. Liverpool play in the early game on Saturday and a win will see them go top of the table for the first time this season. This seems incredible to believe after being 13 points behind Manchester City a few months ago. Liverpool are on a nine match unbeaten run with seven clean sheets. They have scored 23 goals in this period while conceding only two goals. Liverpool have won 12 of their last 13 home matches against Watford with an aggregate of 22-1. They are the only team in the league with an unbeaten home record and have not lost at Anfield in their last 18 matches dating back to March 2021.

Watford had a shock 2-1 win in their last match before the international break. They will be hoping to carry that momentum into this match as it was their first win in five matches. Despite the win they are still in the relegation zone, three points behind Everton in 17th position. They have however played two matches more than Everton.
