Liverpool will still be cursing themselves over giving away a 2-0 lead at the Emirates on Friday evening. Those defensive frailties again reared their ugly heads and it’s clear that if they are ever are going to seriously challenge for the title then they need a much better goalkeeper. Drawing is becoming a problem for Liverpool with five already at home this season in the Premier League. They, along with Manchester City, are the only two sides in the Premier League to still be unbeaten at home but four wins out of nine isn’t good enough and they have drawn their last three home league matches. They ended the weekend in fourth place but in terms of points are nearer the relegation zone than league leaders Manchester City. There have been plenty of goals scored away from home but at Anfield, they have only scored 14 goals in eight home league games with just three conceded and are undefeated in their last 11 Premier League games played at Anfield. Swansea City sacked Paul Clement as their manager last week but managed to avoid defeat at the weekend coming from a goal down to draw with Crystal Palace. That point left them bottom of the table and four points from safety. They have lost their last six away league games and only scored five goals in nine matches on the road. Only West Brom and Crystal Palace have scored less away goals than them and their last 17 away league games have produced just two victories and they face a long battle against relegation that they may not win unless improvement is shown soon.  Such is their struggle for goals, both Mohamad Salah and Roberto Firmino have both scored more goals than the Welsh side and Philippe Couthino is level with them on 11. Swansea have actually won two of their last three away games against Liverpool but it’s a big ask for them to make it three out of four, go for over 2.5 goals in this game with neither side having a trustworthy defence.
