Liverpool just keep on winning this season and the strength of their squad was shown when beating PSG 3-2 in the Champions League on Tuesday evening. Having the ability to replace Firmino with Sturridge and have and have the likes of Shaqiri and Keita on the subs bench shows the improvement in their squad this season. They begin the weekend in second place in the Premier League with a 100% record and only behind Chelsea on goal difference. The league leaders don't play until Sunday so just a point from this game will take Liverpool back to the top spot, though they'll be expecting more than that. Liverpool have gone 23 home league games without defeat and not conceded in the last seven with West Ham being the last visitors to score a league goal at Anfield seven months ago.

Southampton will be kicking themselves after giving away a 2-0 lead at home to Brighton and Hove Albion on Monday. They start this game in 13th place, ten points behind Liverpool and only three above the relegation zone. They are unbeaten in their last three games but two have been against Brighton and Hove Albion and the other against a Crystal Palace side that didn't have Zaha playing. The Saints have only won three of their last 19 away league games and one of their last eight against Southampton in the Premier League. Liverpool continue to be dominant at Anfield and have the strength in their squad to make a few change if they so wish after that European game in midweek. Go for Liverpool to win and be ahead at both half and full time.
