Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Eighth placed Liverpool host Nottingham Forest who are 18th in the Premier League. Liverpool are still hopeful of playing in European competition next season and with Brighton on FA Cup duty this weekend, they can go seventh with a home win over Forest. Away form has been a major problem for the Reds this season. Monday saw them hammer Leeds United 6-1 at Elland Road, only their fourth away Premier League win of the season. Just 16 points have been earned on the road, compared to 31 at home. One of their eight away league losses was at Nottingham Forest but they should be able to get revenge for that this weekend. Liverpool have only lost one home league game at Anfield this season and are unbeaten in seven since being beaten by Leeds United in October. Four of those seven games have seen them keep a clean sheet and their most recent game at Anfield saw them draw 2-2 with leaders Arsenal.

Nottingham Forest begin the weekend in the relegation zone but only on goal difference. That's considerably worse than most of the teams around them and could well prove costly in what is a tight relegation battle. They would be down by now if their home form was as bad as that on the road. Only six points have been earned from 15 away fixtures with one win (at Southampton in January) and only five goals scored with 36 conceded. They have lost their last five away Premier League fixtures and by an aggregate score of 13-2. Another away defeat looks likely here and we go for Liverpool to win and be ahead at both half and full time.
