Liverpool fans could only have dreamed of being four points clear at the top of the Premier League. That's what has happened though and Liverpool are hot favourites to keep that lead as they host Newcastle United. The Reds have won their last six league and cup games and Mo Salah is back in top-scoring form. Liverpool haven't lost a home league game since April 2017, a run of 29 games of which 19 has seen them keep a clean sheet as they make Anfield into a fortress.

Newcastle United fans are still waiting for a new owner but they've been doing that for a fair while now. They start this set of fixtures in 15th place and are only five points above the relegation zone. Scoring goals is a big problem for them highlighted by the fact they presented Fulham with their first clean sheet of the season on Saturday. Newcastle have only scored 14 league goals and only Huddersfleld have scorred less. After a promising November that saw them climb out of the relegation zone, United have only won one out of their last five league games and that was at hapless Huddersfield. It's hard to see them coping with the Liverpool attack or breaching their defence, go for Liverpool to win and be ahead at both half and full time.
