A win for Liverpool will take them into the top six and their hopes of European football next season are looking good. It might even be the Champions League if they can win the Europa League this season. Exciting times at Anfield and Liverpool have scored four goals in their last three home games Just one defeat in their last 15 league and cup games and ten unbeaten at home are really getting Liverpool excited about the future again. All of a sudden Newcastle can see a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel. After the defeat at Norwich it was looking really bleak but a collapse in form for Norwich and four points in two games for Newcastle means the relegation battle could go right down to the final days of the season. Those four points were earned at home though and the big task for Newcastle is getting points on the road. They have lost their last nine away games and that's why they are in the bottom three. It's a big game for Rafael Benitez as he returns to Anfield but getting anything from this game will be a bonus for his side especially as you have to go back to 1994 for the last time Newcastle won a league game at Anfield.
