Liverpool vs Napoli Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League

These two teams find themselves in a similar situation to the 2018/19 Champions League. Group leaders Liverpool host Napoli who are in second with both almost certain to qualify. The defending European champions are a point clear of their Italian rivals. Just as was the case last season, Liverpool have already played Napoli away from home and lost to them, their only defeat this season. Liverpool are a point clear and a win will see them be confirmed as group winners. Liverpool are five points clear of third placed Red Bull Salzburg who are away at Genk the same night. If they fail to win that match, then Liverpool and Napoli will qualify. What if Liverpool were to lose this match and Salzburg won?  That would put us in the position where if Liverpool lost their final game away to Salzburg they would be knocked out.

Still plenty to play for then but Liverpool can be backed to win this match. They won again at the weekend and Anfield remains a fortress with no losses in 15 games since their return to the Champions League two years ago. Their last home loss in the Champions League was by Real Madrid in October 2014. Napoli are four points clear of third placed Salzburg, so a win here would clinch qualification. Their final home game is against bottom of the table Genk, so their qualification hopes are looking good, even if losing this match. Their away form in Europe isn't good though with a run of seven without a win in the Champions League until the vital 3-2 win in Salzburg this season. Form overall is poor too with a run of six games without a win, five of which have been drawn. The tip here is for a Liverpool home win, just as they recorded last season.
