The Women’s Super League title race has come down to the final set of games. Second placed Manchester United simply have to win this away game at Liverpool who are seventh. They trail leaders Chelsea by two points so a win for them at Reading will seal the title. If Chelsea were only to draw then they’d still most likely win the title due to a superior goal difference. United’ hope therefore is they win and Reading somehow defeat Chelsea.United needed a 91st minute winner to beat Manchester City on Sunday. That was their sixth straight league win since a vital loss away to Chelsea. That’s their only away league defeat this season with eight of the other nine being won. The reverse fixture saw United get a comfortable 6-0 home win.

Liverpool are 30 points behind their opponents and with no chance of qualifying for Europe. Their most recent game saw them held to a 3-3 away draw at Aston Villa. They trailed 1-0 but led 2-1 and 3-2 in that match. Only two of their last seven league matches have been won. One of those did see them beat fourth placed Manchester City. Home form for Liverpool has seen them win six and lose four. Five of the last six have been won but this is going to be a tough task for them.
