Liverpool vs Manchester United Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

The tables have been turned and it's Manchester United who travel to Anfield as Premier League leaders. The hosts are second in the league but could be as low as fourth if Leicester and Tottenham win their earlier games. Liverpool are three points behind United and are looking to end a run of three league games without a win, something that hasn't happened since May 2018. Recent games have seen them held to a home draw by West Brom, another stalemate at Newcastle and then defeat at Southampton. Away form is definitely something Jurgen Klopp has to improve in 2021. Results at home are still progressing well, though it was a big disappointment not to join everyone else and get a win over West Brom. That draw ended a run of eight straight home league wins for Liverpool. They have only lost one of their last ten games against Manchester United, though six of the last nine have ended level. Liverpool don't usually have problems up front but they have gone two league games without getting on the scoresheet  42 home league matches have been played at Anfield since they last failed to score a goal.

Manchester United struggled early on in the season with seven points from their first six league fixtures. Being three points clear at the top in mid-January wasn't expected at that stage. The calls to sack Ole Gunnar Solksjaer have gone a bit quiet of late and United are now title challengers. Nine wins and two draws in their last 11 league games has seen them climb from the bottom half of the Premier League to its very summit. Home form was a big problem but a run of six without a win at Old Trafford has been replaced by four wins out of five. Their away record was already impressive with 12 wins and three draws in their last 15 league fixtures. A form guide for the last ten league games has United five points clear at the top and with nine points more than Liverpool. They haven't won at Anfield for five years but have a good chance this weekend. A bet on both teams to score looks the safest one to go for here with such quality on show.
