Liverpool vs Manchester United Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Steve Ashfield | in Premier League Predictions
It's getting close to be a question of when Liverpool will win the Premier League title not if. They start the weekend 14 points clear at the top and with a game in hand and look to get three more points as they host fifth placed Manchester United. Their opponents are the only team to have taken points off the Reds in the Premier League this season. That was back in October and since then Liverpool have won 12 successive league games. Their stats become more and more impressive as every week goes by with six consecutive clean sheets in the league, last conceding against Everton on December 4. With an unbeaten home league run of 52 games and over a year since their last league loss, they are creating records that might never be equalled.
Whereas Liverpool are ultra-consistent, that's an area in which Manchester United continue to struggle. They can put on some impressive performances but then follow them up with disappointing ones. They have won three of their last five league games but Burnley, Newcastle and Norwich are all struggling for form. United lost at Arsenal and also away to Watford making it five league defeats on the road this season. With a negative goal difference for away games, it's hard to see them doing well against this Liverpool team and the tip is for a home win.
