Liverpool are down to ninth in the table after their midweek 3-3 draw with Arsenal. It could have been a lot worse as it took a late Joe Allen goal to get them a point. They trail sixth placed United by three points and are five points off the Champions League places. They have conceded five goals in their last two games so will probably struggle to keep a clean sheet here. So far this season Liverpool have only kept three home league clean sheets. Manchester United have taken plenty of criticism over the way they play but then ended up having a 3-3 draw at Newcastle. It's good to see a few goals in a United game but Louis van Gaal won't have been at all happy with the result. His side were 2-0 and 3-2 up and really should have done better than a 3-3 draw at St James Park. That draw hasn't helped their Champions League ambitions one bit and another draw or defeat at Anfield would really put them in danger of missing out on the top four. This is never an easy game to predict and with both teams scoring and conceding a few goals lately, a bet on both teams to score looks good here.
