Liverpool - Manchester United: Form Analysis
Liverpool are bidding to win a fourth successive Premier League game. They have only lost one of their Premier League games, a controversial 2-1 loss at Tottenham on the last day of September. Since that defeat, they have won six and drawn three in the Premier League and that has taken them to the top of the table. Last weekend saw them come from behind to get a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace. That was their third straight win in the Premier League with eight goals being scored. Home form for Liverpool is one of the main reasons their season is going so well. All seven of their home league games have ended in victory and a win over United will put them level with Aston Villa on eight wins on home soil in the Premier League this season. Only five league goals have been conceded at Anfield this season with 21 being scored. At least three goals have been scored in all but one of their home league fixtures this season. In all, they are unbeaten in their last 19 home league games with 16 being won.
With statistics like that, you can see how tough a task the Red Devils have at Anfield this weekend. They are sixth in the Premier League and begin the weekend six points behind fourth place. That gap is likely to have widened by the time this game begins on Sunday. The Reds are ten points adrift of Liverpool and with a vastly inferior goal difference. In fact, United have a -3 goal difference after their first. It'd be considerably worse if United repeat last season's disastrous league result at Anfield when losing 7-0. United have lost three of their last four games in all competitions with only one win in the last five with them only scoring in one of the last four. They had won four away league games in a row before being beaten at Newcastle United.

Liverpool & Manchester United Squad Analysis
Liverpool rested several players for their Europa League game at USG on Thursday evening. Players such as Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Salah and van Dijk all missed that game. There are still injury problems for Jurgen Klopp with Diogo Jota joining a list that includes Andrew Robertson and Alexis MacAllister. Manchester United also have some problems to deal with, especially in defence. Both Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire had to be substituted against Bayern on Tuesday evening and are doubts for this game at Anfield. There are also doubts over Mason Mount, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. Definitely out is Bruno Fernandes who is suspended for this game.
