Manchester City are set for another huge game, after facing Chelsea and PSG in the last two matches; they take on Liverpool at Anfield in the third of their three straight away matches. At 13, City are just a point and a place behind league leaders Liverpool and will be hoping to go top after this clash. Liverpool remain the only unbeaten side in the league and will hope to stay top. In their last league game, Liverpool had to come from behind, before being pegged back by a stubborn Brentford as the two sides played to a 3-3 draw. They did recover to beat FC Porto 5-1 in the Champions League, extending their great scoring run, which has seen them score three or more goals in the last six matches. Sadio Mane and Mo Salah are on fire in attack and they are now joined by Roberto Firmino, to make their forward line really potent. However, Liverpool will miss the services of Trent Alexander, Thiago Alcantara and Harvey Elliott who are all out injured. Man of the Moment, Salah will be the main threat, having scored eight in nine games already, and Liverpool have scored in 16 straight league games. Both teams have scored in three of their last five matches.

Manchester City have had a tough run of matches and this too won’t be easy. They are coming from a loss to PSG in the Champions League, but in their last league game they beat Chelsea. The PSG loss is their second defeat this season and the third time this season that they’ve failed to score. In the last five matches they have three wins, and in the Premier League this term, they have only conceded one goal – in their opening loss to Tottenham. Away from home, Manchester City have four losses in six matches but going to this game, they are unbeaten in the last three meetings with Liverpool. City will be without one of their key players in Ilkay Gundogan who is injured, but they have good depth to take care of the German’s absence.
