Liverpool are third in the Premier League and only a point behind opponents, league leaders Leicester City. The Reds are on an unbeaten run at present with five wins and two draws since that disastrous night at Villa Park. There are no losses in their last four league matches with eight points earned. Those four league games have seen two home wins and two away draws. Liverpool remain unbeaten at home in the Premier League. You have to go back to April 2017 for the last time they lost a home Premier League fixture. That’s 63 games without defeat and in the last 30, only Burnley have come away from Anfield with a point. Liverpool do struggle with clean sheets though, even at Anfield. They have conceded in their last six home league fixtures. Both teams have scored in each of those matches. There'll be no Mo Salah this weekend but with Jota, Firmino and Mane, they are still fearsome going forward.

Leicester City top the Premier League table. Another title win might not be such a miracle as their previous triumph. City have made a strong start to the season and are also top of their Europa League group with maximum points. In the Premier League, they won their first three games, scoring 12 goals. Home defeats by Aston Villa and West Ham followed but they soon rediscovered their form. Wins have come against Arsenal, Leeds and Wolves in the subsequent three games, with only one goal conceded. Away form collapsed towards the end of last season with just three points from eight games. That cost them a place in the Champions League but this season, City have won all four league games, scoring 13 goals. Their record at Anfield is a poor one with no win since 2000. They do tend to get on the scoresheet though, having scored in six of their last visits. With Liverpool missing key defenders, a bet on over 2.5 goals is the one to make and for another profit, go for both teams to score.
