Liverpool vs Flamengo Prediction & Betting Tips - FIFA Club World Cup
by Steve Ashfield | in Football Predictions
The FIFA Club World Cup final takes place and still the tournament isn't exactly loved by the fans. More teams are neeeded in the future but this year we have Liverpool taking on Flamengo. The European Champions had to dig deep to get past Monterrey in the semi-final (just one game to get to the final says it all) and are without Virgil van Dijk, a key absentee if ever there was one. It took a late goal to get Liverpool into this final, at least they avoided the extra time that Jurgen Klopp was dreading. Liverpool are unbeaten in one game, thanks to the ridiculous fixture clash that saw them have to field a youth team in the Carabao Cup quarter final on Tuesday. The real Liverpool team has only lost one game all season, an away defeat to Napoli in the Champions League. They have never won this tournament but this looks a good opportunity to do so.
Flamengo bid to add the Club World Cup to the Copa Libertadores championship that they recently won. They are also Serie A champions in Brazil, winning that title with ease. They also only had to play one game to reach this final. The Brazilians disposed of Al Hilal 3-1 but had to come from behind to do so with all their goals scored in the second half. It was still 1-1 with 12 minutes to go but the Brazilians proved too strong for their opponents (one of the top four teams in the world?) and reached this final. This should be an entertaining game and the best bet to place is one on both teams to score.

Our Liverpool vs Flamengo Prediction
Winning a world title is always appreciated but this isn't the way to crown a champion, improvements are needed. That being said, this should be a good final to decide the 'best club' in the world. Liverpool didn't have it all their own way against Monterrey and to be fair the game against Leicester on Boxing Day is far more important than this one. The absence of Virgil van Dijk won't help them against Flamengo. The Brazilians struggled against El Hilal so that doesn't bode too well for them here. A bet on both teams to score is the suggested bet.
