Liverpool vs Everton Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Liverpool host Everton in the Merseyside derby with both clubs needing a win for very different reasons. The Reds are tenth in the Premier League, while their local rivals are in 18th position. Liverpool are 12 points adrift of the final Champions League place but only 11 above the relegation zone. They come into this match with only win in their last seven matches, a 1-0 away FA Cup win at Wolverhampton Wanderers. The two clubs met again last week but this time it was Wolves who got a 3-0 home win over Liverpool. Premier League form is poor with only just a single point from their last four. The other three were lost but that's not the worst statistic. They conceded three goals in each of the defeats by Brentford, Brighton and Wolves. 28 league goals have been conceded this season, the same number as Everton have had put past them. Home form is still solid though with six wins out of ten and just one loss to Leeds United. Both Manchester City and Newcastle United have been beaten at Anfield this season.

Everton are again in relegation trouble and recently replaced coach Frank Lampard with Sean Dyche. They are a point from safety and getting a rare win at Anfield will see them climb up to 16th place. The Toffees had lost six out of their last seven Premier League games before deciding to remove Lampard. As is often the case, that move led to an improved performance in their next game as they defeated league leaders Arsenal at home. Can they continue that form in this Merseyside derby? Away form is not impressive with just two points from their last six in the Premier League. Only one away win has been achieved in the league this season (that was at bottom-of-the-table Southampton) and just six goals have been scored in ten matches. Liverpool can get a narrow home win here.
