Liverpool vs Crystal Palace Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Liverpool’s title march will see them play host to Crystal Palace when the Premier League enters the 31st round of matches. The two sides go to the game at Anfield separated by 41 points; Liverpool at the top with 83 and ninth placed Palace on 42 points. Liverpool’s title ambitions took a slight blow on Sunday as they drew 0-0 with Everton but they are still on course. The title can't be won in this game after Manchester City beat Burnley on Monday evening and their lead is just 20 points now. As for Palace, they have their ambitions too; they are nine points below the final Champions League spot. Liverpool have had a fair share of unwanted results in the past few matches and the draw with Everton is definitely among such results. They now have one win and three losses in their last five matches across all competitions. Right before the league was suspended,  Liverpool were beaten 3-0 by Watford for their first league loss of the season before being knocked out of the FA Cup and Champions League.  They are a different side in the Premier League though; in the last 15 league matches, Liverpool have 13 wins. They failed to score in just two but having conceded against West Ham, Watford and Bournemouth in three of their last four games, leaves questions over their defence. At home, Liverpool have won all 15 of their league games this season. They have scored two or more in each of their last five home league matches and kept three clean sheets. Liverpool have also beaten Palace in each of the last five league meetings.

That being said, Liverpool are on an unbeaten run of 55 home league games without a defeat. Their last loss was three years ago and it was Crystal Palace who beat them, could history repeat itself this week? Palace come into this game in good form.  At the stoppage of the league, they were on three straight wins, and they made it four on Saturday with a 2-0 win over Bournemouth. The win also served a fourth straight clean sheet for Palace. They have failed to score in just four of their last 15 league matches but have scored more than one goal in just three of the 15 matches. They have scored in three of their last four meetings with Liverpool. Their away run is not so impressive though; they have five wins in 15 away games and taking that form to Anfield can only mean one thing – they will be the underdogs to lose this match.  Still they will not be easy to rule out; Palace have won at Manchester United and drawn at Arsenal and Manchester City this season.
