Liverpool vs Chelsea Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by Nella Wagah | in Premier League Predictions
Chelsea are enjoying some sort of stability under new man Thomas Tuchel and after their clash with Manchester United, they have another big one, a trip to Liverpool. Champions Liverpool returned to winning ways in their last game and are currently sixth with 43 points, while Chelsea are fifth with 44. Liverpool are just two points off a tight top four and will be hoping for a win after their 2-0 victory over Sheffield United. That win came with Liverpool’s first clean sheet in eight matches in the league. Earlier lauded for their great home form, Liverpool now have no win in six home league matches and have failed to score in four of the last five league matches at Anfield. They’ve managed just one clean sheet in the last seven league games at home and have to deal with major absentees. Goalkeeper Alisson Becker is off handling family issues while the team continues missing the first choice defensive players as well as striker Diogo Jota.
Chelsea have the comfort of a big squad available for selection save just for defender Thiago Silva. The Blues are a point above Liverpool and one below the top four. They go to this game unbeaten in their last 10 matches and with four clean sheets in the last five matches. Their 0-0 draw with Manchester United in the last game was just the second of 10 matches that they failed to score, but also their seventh clean sheet in 10 matches. In Premier League action, Chelsea are unbeaten in the last seven matches; their last league loss was back in January at Leicester City. They have won twice in the three away matches after that loss and will be hoping to carry on with that form at Anfield. In the last seven meetings with Liverpool, Chelsea have one win. They lost 2-0 in the two sides’ meeting in September.

Our Liverpool vs Chelsea Prediction
Liverpool’s form in their recent matches has been disappointing, and while Anfield earlier felt like a fortress, they’ve failed to win there in six matches. Struggling sides, Brighton and Burnley have won there recently and they lost there to Everton too in the Merseyside Derby. Chelsea have been on the rise and their away form is impressive, while they have no new injuries reported. Go for a Chelsea win.
