Liverpool may well be dreaming of getting into the Champions League by beating Sevilla in the Europa League final but they want a strong finish to their Premier League season. A top six finish (possibly top seven) will guarantee a return to the Europa League next season and more Thursday exploits. League form is good with four wins in the last six. They begin this match in eighth place but a win here would see them move above Southampton and into sixth if West Ham fail to beat Manchester United. At home Liverpool are in top form with four wins and three draws in the last seven games at Anfield. Chelsea start the game in 9th place in the Premier League. They can't climb any higher but bad results in their last two games against Liverpool and champions Leicester could see them lose their top ten place. Not quite what they were hoping for when the season began. Talk about an inconsistent season, they have won 12, drawn 12 and lost 12 in the league this season. They have only won one of their last five league games and both teams have scored in the last three. Saturday saw them give away the lead twice as they eventually lost 3-2. Away form has been decent this year but they have lost two of their last three away matches also losing at Swansea. A difficult game to predict because surely Chelsea will try to put in a much better performance than they did at Chelsea and this is Liverpool's third game in a week. I go for both teams to score here.
