Liverpool vs Cardiff Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup
by Daniel Ngulu | in FA Cup Predictions
Cardiff City are struggling in the Championship but things aren’t about to get easier as they are set to travel to Anfield, to face Premier League title contenders Liverpool in the FA Cup, fourth round clash. It can’t get tougher than this for Cardiff, but Liverpool will enjoy the fact that they have such a game, on the back of a good run and right before they take on Leicester City. In their last 10 matches, Liverpool have lost just one game, and notably, they are unbeaten since their leading scorers Sadio Mane and Mo Salah left for AFCON 2021. Liverpool will still miss the duo in this game but that shouldn’t be a concern. The Reds are coming from a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace, that goal conceded being the only one in the last four matches. Liverpool are unbeaten in six matches and in eight of the last 10, they’ve scored two or more goals. In three of their last five matches they’ve led in both halves.
Cardiff will be looking to be the first team to beat Liverpool at Anfield this season. It is a tough task for a team struggling to avoid relegation in the second tier, and considering in 16 home matches, Liverpool are unbeaten. Cardiff are nine points above the relegation zone in the Championship but back-to-back wins in their last two matches should be a good confidence boost for them heading to this game. Going to Anfield, they will need an improvement in defence, having managed just one clean sheet in the last five matches. They’ve failed to score once in the last five matches and have two losses in the last four matches. Away from home, they have been even poorer; their only win on the road in the last five matches was against the bottom placed team, Barnsley. They have conceded two or more goals in three of their last five away matches and this won’t reflect so well on them going to a game against Liverpool at Anfield.

Our Liverpool vs Cardiff Prediction
February is going to be a tough month for Liverpool with FA Cup, league and Champions League matches. In that consideration they will consider resting key members of the team but still, they have better quality here. Back them to lead in both halves against Cardiff.
