Liverpool vs Burnley Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Liverpool have dropped to fourth place in the Premier League after their weekend draw with Manchester United. They bid to get back into winning ways with a home game against 17th placed Burnley. Liverpool have gone four league games without a win, that hasn't happened since 2017. On that occasion, they went five without a win so will aim to prevent a repetition of that this week. They have only lost one of their last 14 league games but three of their last four league games have been drawn. It's a much tighter Premier League this season and the Reds can't afford to keep dropping points. Scoring isn't usually a problem for Liverpool but it is at present with one goal in the last four and not one in the last three. Home form has also dipped with two straight draws, again their worst run in four years. 

Last season Burnley came away from Anfield with a point. They are nowhere near that kind of form coming into this game. Saturday saw them lose away at West Ham, their second successive league defeat. They are four points clear of the relegation zone but have a tough fixture list coming up. After this game, they have games against Aston Villa, Chelsea and Manchester City, so that gap at the bottom could well narrow. Three of their last four league matches have ended in defeat, the other being a home win over bottom side Sheffield United. It's not just Liverpool struggling to score at present, Burnley are too. However, their problems are long-term ones with just nine league goals this season from 17 games. They've only scored one goal in their last four league games (scored by defender Ben Mee). On their travels, Burnley have lost three of their last five and only in one of their last seven on the road have Burnley scored, and that was an own goal. Liverpool must be due a good win, this is the perfect opportunity. Go for them to win and be ahead at both half and full time.
