Liverpool vs Burnley Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League
by | in Premier League Predictions
This game really shouldn't be being played this weekend. Burnley had a golden chance to reach the FA Cup quarter finals and went and lost at home to non-league Lincoln City. Golden chance wasted and there's not that much left for them to play for this season. The main job has been achieved and they start March in 12th, nine points above the drop zone. A couple more wins should be enough to ensure Premier League football next season but they are more than likely to come at Turf Moor. Away form is still poor with just two points earned on the road all season. They have lost eight of the last nine but did grab a point at Hull last month. Liverpool fans are still trying to work out how they lost 2-0 away to Burnley earlier in the season after dominating possession. That's the kind of result that has prevented them maintaining a title challenge this season. Their target now is a top four finish and they start this game in that precious fourth place two points clear of Arsenal and three clear of Manchester United. Both those sides are on FA Cup duty this weekend so Liverpool could be five points clear but with two games played more. They can't afford to drop points in this game and have had two excellent home results lately beating both Tottenham and Arsenal. A home win is the suggested bet here in a game with more than 1.5 goals in it.
