Liverpool have made excellent signings during the summer and unlike at some clubs in the Premier League, they are already making an impact. No sign of the team needing to gel or newcomers getting used to the Premier League and the Reds have won both of their league games this season. They began by demolishing West Ham 4-0 at home and it could have been a lot more. They followed that up with a 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace. Not only are Liverpool scoring lots of goals but they haven't conceded one yet and it was the defence that was causing them the most concern but the arrival of Allison and Van Dijk seems to have sorted that out. They were the only team in the Premier League last season not to lose a home league game and are on an unbeaten run of 22 but again looking at the defence rather than their fantastic midfield and attack, Liverpool have kept six straight league clean sheets at Anfield.

Brighton and Hove Albion beat Manchester United at home last weekend but this is a much tougher task for them. The problem that nearly got them into relegation trouble last season was their away form. It was the worst in the Premier League with 11 points from 19 games with only two wins. Already this season they have lost away at Watford and their last 14 away league games have produced just three points with the last win being in November 2017 at Swansea City who went on to be relegated. Liverpool can be backed to win this game and be leading at both half and full time.
