Liverpool missed out on their Merseyside derby with Everton at the weekend due to the appalling weather in the area. They are one from bottom in the table and host Arsenal, who are flying high in third position. Liverpool have only won one league game this season, that was an away win at Bristol City who took over from them in bottom place. Before that, Liverpool had gone 11 league games without a win and only scored three goals. They may have lost eight out of 12 league games this season but heavy defeats haven't been the order of the day. In fact, all 12 of their games have had under 2.5 goals scored with only 13 goals conceded. Home form has seen them only play five games with three drawn and two losses.  The reverse fixture against Arsenal saw them lost 1-0.

Arsenal are third and the defending champions are just three points behind leaders Manchester City. They have won 11 of their league games this season. No draws though as the other three have all ended in defeat, the most recent being a 2-1 loss to City. That followed a 4-1 home loss to Chelsea who are currently second in the table. Their other league loss was away against Chelsea. So, take away those defeats by the top sides in the table and Arsenal have won 11 out of 11. Before their latest away loss, Arsenal had won four in a row on their travels scoring 12 goals. They can get another win here and be ahead at half and full time.
