Lille vs Saint Etienne Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

2011 saw Lille win the Ligue 1 title, last season they finished one place above the relegation zone. They have shown much improved form this season and start the weekend in second place, eight points behind leaders PSG who still have a 100 per cent record. Lille won two of their first three league games before losing their unbeaten record at Angers but bounced back with two league wins over Amiens and Nantes. Their second league defeat came at the hands of Bordeaux but their most recent match saw them beat Marseille 3-1 at home. That was their best win of the season and it has to be noted that five of their eight games have been against the teams who are currently the bottom five in the table. Home form has seen Lille win all four, scoring 11 and conceding just twice and their last six home league games have all been won.

St Etienne are fourth in the table and only a point behind their opponents. They won their opening league fixture beating Guingamp who are bottom of the table. Their next three games all ended in draws and then they lost 4-0 at PSG. Since then though they have found their form and won the last three in a row scoring seven goals in the process. Their win at Toulouse ended a run of four away league games without a win. This looks a hard game to predict but a bet on over 2.5 goals should be a winner.
