Lille will welcome Monaco on Match Day 12 of Ligue 1, going for a third straight win and also seeking a third straight clean sheet. The two sides are two points apart, with hosts Lille in seventh place on 19 points while Monaco are sixth on 21 points. Lille have been resurgent in recent weeks, and coming into this game, they have three wins in four games. They’ve lost twice in the last five matches, but they’ve scored in each of the five games. Right ahead of this match, they thumped Strasbourg 3-0 away from home. That was their fourth game in five to end with over 2.5 goals. Monaco have lost a bit of their steam and will be seeking a return to winning ways after failing in the last two games. They come into this clash after battling to a 1-1 draw with Clermont at home in their last game. Monaco finished that game with 10 men after Mohamed Camara was sent off in the 17th minute. They took the lead in the 31st minute but were pegged back in the second half. Still, it was a big improvement from their 4-0 loss at Trabzonspor in the Europa League. Monaco have just one clean sheet in their last five matches and will struggle against a Lille side that has scored in all their five matches. Three of Monaco’s last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals.
