Only three points separate Lille and Brest as the race of top-five sees the two sides meet this weekend. This Ligue 1 match will be played at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Sunday with the hosts seventh with 12 points and the visitors fourth with 15 points. Lille are one point behind top-five going into the international break. They drew 1-1 with Lens making it four points across their last two league games. Although not consistent, Lille haven’t really fired with just two wins across their last six Ligue 1 matches. They won, drew and lost two games each, which wasn’t as consistent as they would have liked. Their home form has landed two wins out of their last three league matches, although the loss came in the most recent fixture.

Brest are tied on points with third-placed Paris Saint-Germain but are only two points behind leaders Monaco. They could technically move top of the league with a win here, and favourable results elsewhere. Brest went into the international on the back of a five-game unbeaten run. This sequence saw them winning two and drawing three matches. Two of those draws came in a row, when they went into the break with stalemates against Nice and Toulouse. Their away form is one to be noted though, as Brest have won two and drawn one of their four away league matches this season. Both the victories have come by a 2-1 scoreline while the draw and loss saw them fail to score a goal.
