Levante have been inconsistent this season so their ninth place in La Liga is just about deserved. They go into this game having failed to win any of their last four league and cup games, three of which have ended in draws. Their most recent league game was away at bottom of the table Huesca which ended level at 2-2 and Levante had to come from behind twice to earn a point. It was a different story at Villarreal where they led until a 93rd minute equalizer. Sandwiched between those two games was a 3-1 home loss to Real Sociedad. They led that one after just four minutes and were still ahead with just 17 minutes to go before collapsing and conceding three late goals and that was their third home league defeat of the season.

Athletic Bilbao have gone 12 league games without a win and start the weekend in the relegation zone. They are 18th in the table, two points from safety and that could be more by the time this game is played on Monday. Bilbao have only won one league gamee this season and that was in their first match. However, they have only suffered four league defeats which is one less than their opponents in this game. Their poblem is drawing far too many games with eight so far and four of their last six league games have ended all-square. On their La Liga travels they drew the first four (including a game at Barcelona) but have lost the last two.though they have been against Espanyol and Atletico Madrid who are both in the top five. Go for a draw in this match.
