Two sides enjoying good runs will clash when AFC Leopards hosts Nairobi City Stars in their next Premier League outings. Being seven points behind the league leaders, City Stars will hope to close in while 12th placed Leopards are looking to go five unbeaten. Leopards have lost their last two matches against City Stars and will hope to stop the bad run here. In their last four matches, they have gone unbeaten, stabilizing after a tough start to the season. Leopards have won three times in those four matches, most recently beating Muhoroni Youth 1-0 away from home. With three clean sheets in their last four matches, it is safe to say they are also growing defensively. Leopards aren’t badly off in attack either, having scored in all but two of their last 10 matches.

Nairobi City Stars have emerged as serious title contenders, after going on a run of eight wins in nine matches. In each of their last seven matches they returned with wins, propping them to 33 points. Going into this game, City Stars are seven points behind Gor Mahia and they’ll be looking to close that gap. Gor Mahia face Tusker, quite a formidable opponent, and City Stars will have one eye on that game. They are coming from a 1-0 win over Posta Rangers and having beaten Leopards twice in a row, they’ll feel they have the momentum. The two sides’ meeting in November ended in a 3-2 win for City Stars, who are coached by a former Leopards player, Nicholas Muyoti.
