Lens look to put their Europa League exit behind them when hosting Monaco in Ligue 1. The home side are sixth in the table, a place and two points behind the visitors. Lens lost 3-2 after extra time at Freiburg on Thursday after drawing the home leg and leading 2-0 in Germany. They are currently in the Europa Conference League qualifying position but a win here will take them above Monaco into the Europa League position. There's a lot more than that to play for as they are only two points off the Champions League places. Lens are unbeaten in their last four league matches with three of them being won. Five of their last six home games in Ligue 1 have been won, the other was a loss to leaders PSG. Lens have won six of their ten home leaague games this season with only nine goals conceded.

Monaco won the reverse fixture 3-0 in September but Lens were not in good form at the time. They are only behind the Champions League places on goal difference going into this weekend's fixtures and just two points off second spot. They are not in the best of form at present though with only one win in their last five league and cup games. Their most recent match saw them go down 2-1 at home to Toulouse. They have won five away league matches this season including three of the last four. This is a tough game though and we tip Lens to win.
