With their European progress already decided, Leipzig and Young Boys play out their final match of the Champions League group stage. This matchday six of Group G of the Champions League competition will be played at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig on Wednesday. Leipzig are 2nd with nine points and are confirmed of this place already, while Young Boys are 3rd with four points and confirmed of it. Leipzig are six points behind leaders Man City and five points ahead of third-placed Young Boys. As their second place is already guaranteed, all it remains is finishing the group stage on a high. Leipzig won the reverse fixture on matchday one 3-1 and have since then gone on to win against Red Star Belgrade, while losing to Manchester City in both their games. They are coming off a 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund last weekend, which was their second win in a row in the league which should give them confidence ahead of this match.

Young Boys couldn’t quite recover from the loss on matchday one, winning just one point over their next three matchdays. Their only win in this Champions League campaign came on last matchday when they defeated Red Star Belgrade 2-0. Recent form is impressive though, as the Young Boys have won three and drawn one of their last four matches in all competitions. All said, their away form is a big question mark as Young Boys have lost their last two away matches. Even in the Champions League, the Swiss side has failed to win their last six away Champions League matches – drawing and losing three games each.
