Leipzig sit at the top of this Champions League group after a 2-1 away win at Benfica in their opening fixture. They look to make it two wins out of two when hosting Lyon who were held to a 1-1 home draw by Zenit Saint Petersburg. The German side had been top of the Bundesliga until the weekend when suffering a surprise 3-1 home loss to Schalke 04. That ended a run of seven games without a loss this season. Home form in the Champions League was mixed last season with a win,draw and defeat and they finished third in the group. Both teams scored in all three of those matches.
Lyon made it through to the knock-out stages of last season's Champions League, losing to Barcelona in the last sixteen. They have made an unspectacular start to the new Ligue 1 season with nine points from eight games. That's left them in 11th place at the time of writing this preview. Lyon have not won any of their last seven games but four have ended in draws, all of them score-draws. Away form has seen two straight 2-2 draws and the tip here is for both teams to score a goal.

Leipzig's season was going well until the weekend. A home defeat by Schalke 04 saw them drop to second in the Bundesliga. They are top of this Champions League group though after two Timo Werner goals gave them a 2-1 away win against Benfica. Lyon aren't in the best of form at present but are drawing a lot of games, a point in Germany would be ok for them. Go for both teams to score in this match.
