The UEFA Champions League is back and a number of top matches are lined up as the second round commences, among them is Leizpig hosting Liverpool in Budapest. They have no clean sheet in the last seven matches and have managed just one in the last 10. A long injury list isn’t helping, and it was made worse with three new confirmations on Saturday. At the moment, it is in defence that the injuries have really stung, while goalkeeper Alison Becker’s solidity has been in question with erratic performances lately. The team is coming from a 3-1 defeat to Leicester City; the second straight game in which they’ve conceded three or more goals. While they’ve failed to score in five of their last 11 matches, lately they’ve been somewhat consistent in attack. Liverpool have failed to score in one of the last five matches, but have eight goals in the five games. In the six group stage matches, they won four and lost one, while keeping four clean sheets.
