RB Leipzig are second in the Bundesliga and host Borussia Dortmund who are two places below them. The home side began 2021 with a 1-0 win at Stuttgart thanks to a second half goal. That extended their unbeaten run to nine games in all competitons since a Champions League loss at PSG in late November. Leipzig are two points behind leaders Bayern Munich but that will rise to five if they win at seventh placed Borussia Monchengladbach. They haven't conceded in their last five league and cup games and overall this season have only let in nine league goals this season. That's the best defensive record in the Bundesliga this season. Home form has seen Leipzig win their first six league matches before the recent goalless draw with FC Koln. Only three home league goals have been conceded and five of the last seven have had over 2.5 goals scored in them.

Borussia Dortmund had only won one of their last five league games before beating Wolfsburg 2-0 at home on Sunday. That followed a German Cup win over Eintracht Braunschweig just before Christmas. That win on Sunday took them to fourth in the Bundesliga but eight points behind leaders Bayern Munich. They haven't conceded in their last two league and cup games. That's very welcome after conceding in their seven previous matches. Away form in the Bundesliga has produced four wins but also two losses. They have only won one of their last three away league games, a victory at 14th placed Werder Bremen. This is a tough game for Dortmund against the in-form Leipzig, go for a home win here.
